starstarstarstarFrancesca Annis, Martin Hutson and Ibsen triumph over a pretentious and self-conscious staging. - USER: Whatsonstage.com23 May 01
starstarstarstarI have to disagree with your comments. I thought the play was brilliant, ok I'll admit it is not a bundle of laughs but it still shocked me even though it was written many years ago. - USER: Whatsonstage.com14 May 01
starI am sorry to differ with your reviews. I think that the actors lacked the stature and depth needed for the play and that their elocution was poor. There were very few spectators in spite of the good reviews. I have seen Ibsen plays with full theatres so it must not be the lack of attraction of the author. starstarstarstarstarI have seen Ghosts twice now, once at Windsor and in the West End. I have to say it is a brilliant play, not a bundle of laughs I'll admit, but the acting and the set is wonderful. Francesca Annis is truly one of our greatest actresses, she deserves lots of applause for this role. - USER: Whatsonstage.com14 Apr 01
