starstarstarstarstarWhat a delight - so fantastic I've booked to see it again! This is an excellent interpretation of the Sondheim classic Sweeney Todd - subtle and intelligent and a real tribute to the cast and production team. I left the theatre with real joy – this is what good theatre is all about: purity of purpose, commitment to excellence and real entertainment. In my opinion, it outclassed a good number of professional offerings I’ve seen this year. SEDOS is undoubtedly aided by some really talented performers. I LOVED Mrs Lovett - probably the most challenging part of all - but Maria Waters delighted and succeeded in the difficult task of conveying likeability and wickedness of this complex character. She did is beautifully and we missed her when she was off stage. Paul Erbs (Tobias) is a real find too –a confident performer with a great voice and Mark Millidge creates a very watchable Beadle, perfectly slimy with excellent comic timing. Kelly Chinery and Trevor Conner have beautiful voices. Praise should also go to excellent Pirelli, judge and Lucy. How lucky this company is to attract such talent – even the ensemble are good and very important in creating a chilling atmosphere. Praise must go the director and musical director who have worked a wonder here. Go see! - Kathleen, London05 Dec 07

starstarstarstarstarA fantastic show! Every single performer (principal or chorus) put their all into making a very dark show come to life. For a show to make you both life and cry is remarkable. Considering these guys all presumably were doing this on top of their day jobs, it was a greater feat yet. Well done to everybody involved. The bar has been set very high indeed. - Susan04 Dec 07
starstarstarstarstarThis company seems to just go from strength to strength and sure enough, this is the best i've seen from them yet. Amateur? Hardly. These are seriously talented actors and musicians and this production had me spellbound from beginning to end. Nothing short of brilliant. - Bridget03 Dec 07
