| Boring. And I'm a Zoe Wanamaker fan. Wouldn't go again if the Donmar paid *me*! - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 09 Apr 01 | |
| Very disappointing. Poor production values - set and costumes not up to West End standard - like a school play. No sexual chemistry between the women, like they had rehearsed separately. The layers of language did not work. the Oscar Wilde stuff was pathetic and the vulgar stuff never went anywhere. The maid was good, a gift of a part but oh what a cliche, a Scottish maid who 'knows' more than she should. One hour and 20 minutes of garbled superficiality. Mamet should stick to fellas. (I love most of your other work, please note Mr Mamet) - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 20 Mar 01 |
