| Dear lord. This is horrible play-writing that should have had a dramaturge on it rather than budget for a set. It suffers in the same way as Rupert Gould's DECADE in so far as the material is so trite you have to throw singing and dancing at it and hope that nobody notices (in F&PP's case, an astro turf pitch, some video and a naked lady). Bad naughty theatre. avoid. - Cassox | 25 Oct 11 | |
| really bad, didnt understanf it at all, and imna huge football fan. it makes me think if this can be put out in the theatre anything can. - John | 15 Oct 11 | |
| Difficult to score! The original staging was very seductive and the nearest I'll ever get to actually atending a football match! I did find my lack of knowledge of the "beautiful" game a problem and the characters apart from Billy Williams very unempathetic. There seems to be a current trend for very fragmented scene changes and the bouncing script from one player to another didn't work for me. - Aphro | 14 Oct 11 | |
| Fit and Proper People... "Do I not like that!" Too much time was spent building the stadium they forgot about the 90 minutes the 'fans' would have to endure. Red Card for Soho and the RSC for this woeful match with a patchwork performance from Georgina Fitch's script which felt as if it was lifted from ancient Sun Sport "Shockers". - Graham Taylor | 13 Oct 11 |
