starstarstarMatinee 8th August. This is the first production I've seen of this show and I've never seen the film so no pre-conceptions. I thoroughly enjoyed this romp into absurdity. The theatre is dinky so it doesn't matter where you sit. It was a really fun show, enjoyed by adults and kids alike. Sheridan has a lovely voice and is funny just like her TV characters. Alistair is incredible. This is his genre - I much preferred this performance to the TV impressions - just like with James Dreyfus in Cabaret, this has removed ideas of any TV stereotyping / typecasting for me. Lovely to see Mike McShane again looking much fitter and as funny as ever. Special mention to the 3 girls who all have fantastic voices and were very funny too. Go and enjoy! - Avril10 Aug 07
