| What a great, warm, beautiful venue, perfect for a G&S. Wondered about an all-male version but easy to buy into it and forgot that boys were playing girls. Laughed a lot and was suprisingly moved. Well done to all involved. Deserves to be seen. - Holly Best | 14 Apr 10 | |
| Saw the show on Sunday afternoon. Sunny day, glass of wine, good company and then a treat of a show. Fabulous ! - Lesley Anne | 14 Apr 10 | |
| I was really absorbed by this play, I saw it last thursday and am a bit surprised by the hard review in WOS. I think we are used to so much heightened drama, like Big Brother shows, that Chekhov seems boring in comparison. This version had such sharp language, it was if it was really happening now. I totally believed the characters and really thought the nightmare of their domestic situation was compounded by the dry backdrop and modern talk. It's theatre for modern day younger audiences who can't be doing with flowery adaptations and 3 hour long plays about people they cannot relate to. I was gobsmacked by how beautiful Wilton's is, a real gem. - 84.70.75.20) | 29 Jan 07 |
