starstarstarstarstarI saw this show on the second preview and was struck by how embedded in reality this playful and honest piece of work is. It doesn't attempt to fool or cajole in anyway it presents life as it is by people who are at an age to experience it. It is profound in its simplicity and displays the kind of elegant beauty rarely achieved by art, more often seen in nature. Of course ageing is an age-old theme discussed in literature and art over the centuries, it is fundamental to living and stares the question of 'the point of life' in the face. this show deals with it directly, sensitively, humorously. I was moved and elated, provoked and relieved to see a direct expression of something on the london stage, more characteristic of dance, than another tap on the back piece of 'aren't we clever' theatre for an audience of the converted attending simply to affirm there cultural status. anyone with a twinkle in their eye and a tune humming through their heart should go and see this. - laura30 Sep 10
