Still Life (General, Inner London)

| What a wonderful, magical evening! The acting and magnificently original setting (a disused tube station) enriched the story, breathed life into Coward's words and allowed the audience to be transported to a bygone era. The effects, lighting and costume although simple were incredibly effective and provide a welcome relief to a West-End where far too many shows are dependent oh high octane, big haired, big-budget, big money productions. Hopefully the talent and ideas behind set-specific theatre within this theatrical company become more mainstream and recognised. It's a pity the cakes weren't provided to the audience (or even just me!) to complete the experience. A truly first-class production. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (144.82.210.238) | 23 Apr 03 |
