| We were a party of 3 and after a first half of watching this rather unfunny (if well acted) offering, we decided to leave. Too much complexity in the script dulled some of the intended 'funny' bits and masked the overall moral of the tale. Poorly written. - David Charnley | 18 Nov 12 | |
| I thought of leaving at half time until the moment in Act 1 where the Belcher wife and daughter came on and the play immediately picked up pace. The second act was brilliant - very funny, often very rude and making some good moral points in the last few minutes. A very multi-talented cast, this Northern Broadside. Certainly worth seeing. - Allan F | 18 Nov 12 | |
| Absolutely dreadful. We left half way through and we were a party of 7 ranging in age fron 14 to 64. Not even remotely funny. Waste of time and money. - Mike dundas | 17 Nov 12 | |
| I really could not describe this as funny. I raised a smile a couple of times. The acting was fantastic but the story boring and pointless - Lillimon | 16 Nov 12 |
