Synopsis
Cursed by their father, two inseparable brothers are forced to fight for the throne of Thebes. But are they strong enough to avoid bloodshed on the city’s streets and to take fate into their own hands? The Seven was a huge hit at the New York Theatre Workshop in 2006. American spoken word artist Will Power creates a vibrant new version of Aeschylus’s The Seven Amongst Thebes - a story of a family at war and the arrival on the streets of gang warfareThe Seven fuses together rap, 1970's funk, R&B, gospel, the blues and choreography from the legendary Bill T Jones to produce a compelling, high-octane performance that speaks of gang warfare in American cities today.
