 The Royal Shakespeare Company is one of the best known theatre companies in the world.  We perform Shakespeare and the works of other classical and new writers in Stratford-upon-Avon, London, Newcastle upon Tyne and on tour.

 
In Stratford-upon-Avon
The transformed Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon are now open and we now welcome the first full Shakespeare productions.  King Lear plays in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from 23 February – 2 April alongside Romeo and Juliet from 3 March – 2 April.  In the Swan Theatre, Antony and Cleopatra plays from 3-23 March and is joined in repertoire by The Tempest, presented by the RSC and Little Angel Theatre, from 11-26 March.  We also welcome Camille O’Sullivan in an exhilarating new interpretation of The Rape of Lucrece from 30 March – 2 April and our Young People’s Shakespeare version of The Comedy of Errors and Hamlet return for a limited number of performances from 24 February – 2 April.

The King of Navarre persuades three friends to join him in a vow of celibacy so that they can concentrate on their studies, but the beautiful princess of France and her three gorgeous ladies in waiting arrive for an informal visit.
