"Let's go for a drink. I don't know what I'm doing here anyway. One drink. And if you never want to see me again you never have to see me again." One relationship. Infinite possibilities. Quantum multiverse theory, love and honey. An explosive new play about free will and friendship.
Glorious is the true story of the eccentric American, Florence Foster Jenkins, otherwise known as the 'socialite soprano'. During the Thirties and Forties, the somewhat delusional singer made a career out of doing concerts, although she couldn't hit a single note. The 'dire diva of din' recorded many records and perhaps her most famous recording was of Mozart's Queen of the Night aria. After doing a series of private concerts at the Ritz Carlton in New York the singer braved Carnegie Hall, which sold out months in advance.
The year is 1660. The Puritans have run away with their drab grey tails between their legs and Charles II has exploded onto the scene with a love of all things loud, French and sexy. On Drury Lane, a young Nell Gwynn is peddling her satsumas and wit with equal gusto but, little does she know who is watching...
The demon barber of Fleet Street who used to kill customers and dispose of them in meat pies! Set in Victorian London. Sweeney is bent on revenge for the death of his wife and has started to murder indiscriminately - and suddenly meat for the pie shop next door is no longer in short supply!
