Big Country was formed in 1981 by guitar playing founder members Stuart Adamson and Bruce Watson, who both originated from the band's hometown, Dunfermline in Scotland. They were then joined by drummer Mark Brzezicki and bass player Tony Butler who completed the award-winning band.

Thijs Van Leer formed Dutch Progressive Rock Band Focus back in 1969 and for a few years at the start of the seventies the band became one of the major international attractions, with several best-selling albums and singles. The band finally split in 1976 and Van Leer pursued a solo career. More recently he reformed Focus with new musicians and a new album, recapturing the spirit of the old band but reinterpreted for a new generation of listeners.

Having split in 2007 due to "musical similarities" original Beautiful South members Dave Hemingway & Alison Wheeler (Vocals), Dave Stead (Drums), Damon Butcher (keys), Tony Robinson and Gaz Birtles (brass) have now reformed as The South with the addition of Phil Barton (guitar), and Steve Nutter (Bass), resurrecting the songs and the sounds of this Great British Pop institution by dipping into the Beautiful South songbook as well as writing new material. Its all about the songs!
T.Rextasy are the only official tribute band to have been authorised and endorsed by Marc Bolan's catalogue management, Wizard Ltd, in 2006 to keep Marc's music alive and in the public eye. Lead singer and guitarist Danielz is an uncanny doppelganger of Marc Bolan. He and the band recreate hits such as Jeepster, Metal Guru and Children of the Revolution and have travelled the world to play alongside Marc's contemporaries such as Suzi Quatro and Cockney Rebel, they have entertained at commemorative birthday celebrations for Marc Bolan surrounded by his friends and ex-bandmates and performed at BBC Proms Night at Hyde Park.
