Happy Days ahead for Craig Revel Horwood?Date: 8 February 2013A new musical version of classic American sitcom Happy Days is set to tour the UK later this year, with Craig Revel Horwood attached as director/choreographer. The show, first seen in the US in 2008, is written by the TV series' creator Garry Marshall and features music and lyrics by Oscar and Grammy-winner Paul Williams, who has penned hits including "Rainy Days and Mondays" for the Carpenters, "The Rainbow Connection", and "Evergreen". ![]() The cast of the original sitcom According to advance publicity material: "Happy days are here again, as the unforgettable 'king of cool' Arthur 'The Fonz' Fonzarelli returns! Based on the hit TV series, Happy Days - A New Musical reintroduces one of America's best loved families, the Cunninghams, and the days of 1959 Milwaukee, complete with varsity sweaters, hula hoops and jukebox sock-hoppin'!" Happy Days, which is being produced by Amy Anzel Productions, could begin a UK tour as early as the autumn ahead of a possible West End transfer.
