Could You Take Part in a Facebook Thriller???Date: 7 October 2011 Producers of Thriller Live are claiming a "world first" by using Facebook to search for future cast members of the production. The high energy concert show, a tribute to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, is currently playing at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue as well as simultaneously touring the UK and Europe.
Dancers with "strong technical ability, individual style, strong hip-hop skills and stand-out personality" from all over the world are being encouraged to upload a recorded audition to the Thriller Live Facebook page.
Fans can vote for their favourite dancers and the top 15 with the most votes will have the opportunity to audition live in front of the Thriller Live creative team, including director & choreographer [Gary Lloyd]. Successful dancers will either be featured in the West End Lyric Theatre production or the UK tour of Thriller Live. “We are always getting requests from around the world to be part of this amazing show and play a part in keeping Michael Jackson’s legend alive," Lloyd said. "By harnessing the power of Facebook we will create a truly open and global audition process to find superstar dancers for this show.” Auditions open through Facebook on Thursday, 13 October and close Thursday, 17 November. Voting continues until Friday, 25 November and top 15 videos will be invited to the final auditions in London from December 2011 to January 2012. Got some goss?
