Novello Goes Crazy After Betty???
Date: 26 August 2011

Rumours are swirling that Gershwin musical Crazy For You will be transferring to the West End's Novello Theatre following the recent announcement of the premature closure of Cameron Mackintosh's Betty Blue Eyes on 24 September 2011.

Betty Blue Eyes posted its early closure notice on 22 August, citing "prevailing economic uncertainties nationally" as a reason theatregoers are avoiding new and "unknown work" and instead attending long-running West End shows.

Crazy For You is the final show of the 2011 season at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park where it opened on 8 August (previews from 28 July) and is due to finish on 10 September 2011.
