James Corden Soldiers on Through Knee Injury???Date: 5 July 2011 James Corden, currently fronting the National Theatre's acclaimed production One Man, Two Guvnors, is soldiering on through a knee injury he sustained during Saturday evening's performance. Corden tweeted after the incident he "may have snapped the cartilage in my knee" adding it was "touch and go" whether he would be on for Sunday's matinee. A spokesperson for the National today confirmed that the Gavin and Stacey and History Boys star had not missed a single performance, and played down reports in the Sun newspaper that the injury may require more drastic treatment. For now Corden has tweeted his knee is "strapped to within an inch of its life" and "holding up well so far" with a source telling the Sun he was "battling through the pain barrier for now" and "refusing to let it get the better of him" so as not to let down theatregoers.
Corden's triumphant return to the National continues in the NT Lyttelton until 19 September 2011 before touring to Aylesbury, Plymouth, Salford, Birmingham and Edinburgh. One Man, Two Guvnors is then tipped to return to London, transferring into the West End.
