What Will Hold Court Next at the Palace???

Date: 24 June 2011

With the confirmed likelihood – though still no formal notice – that Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical is likely to close at the end of the year, speculation has begun in earnest about what may follow it at the 1,400-seat Palace Theatre, one of the West End’s prime musical houses. Amongst the shows being mooted – on Twitter, the Whatsonstage.com Discussion Forum and elsewhere - as possible contenders for the address are: screen-to-stagers The Commitments, From Here to Eternity and Bridget Jones, Spice Girls compilation Viva Forever and The Book of Mormon, the satirical comedy written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone which swept the board at this year’s Tony Awards.
