Second to Nun - Producers Seek 'Fabulous' Deloris???Date: 24 March 2011Producers of the forthcoming UK tour of Sister Act are on the lookout for a new Deloris Van Cartier, the role that was created on screen by Whoopi Goldberg and made a star of Patina Miller in the West End and Broadway. Open auditions will be held at Monday 4 April at Pineapple Dance Studios - the complex that was the subject of a 2010 docusoap. A notice on the Sister Act website calls for "black, female comedy actresses, with fabulous singing voices with a strong belt". Whoever is chosen will lead the production when it opens at Manchester Opera House on 4 October 2011 (previews from 29 September), before embarking on a year-long tour of cities across the UK.
