Rachael Stirling Finds Ideal Husband in Oliver Chris??? Date: 24 February 2011
Rachael Stirling will be getting an Ideal Husband of her own after fellow actor Oliver Chris proposed to her recently at the Vaudeville Theatre, where she is currently starring in the Oscar Wilde comedy. Stirling, the daughter of Dame Diana Rigg, said she was appropriately proposed to in her dressing room with Oliver presenting her a ruby ring he designed himself. "Maybe it's good luck to have that dressing room - No.2 by the gentlemen's lavatories," she said. "Maybe we'll put a little pink plaque up there one day." She plays Gertrude in Peter Hall's revival of An Ideal Husband, which finishes its run on Saturday (26 February).
