Jonathan Ansell, the tenor opera singer and former G4 star, is being considered to play one of the Four Seasons in the West End musical Jersey Boys, according to the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye. Ansell is in Dublin at the moment performing in Lark Rise to Candleford. Current Jersey Boys star Ryan Molloy, who who the Whatsonstage.com Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as the band's lead singer Frankie Valli, is staying in the role through 2011. It’s a different story for Stephen Ashfield, Molloy's co-star and fellow Whatsonstage.com Award winner, who plays Valli's song-writing partner Bob Gaudio. He's considering a departure from the role after a two-year stint, having played the role since the show opened at the Prince Edward Theatre in 2008. Lee Mead, who shot to fame after winning the lead role in Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Any Dream Will Do. is a possible contender for the new cast, as is Ray Quinn, who recently departed the West End production of Grease.

I'm so glad Ryan Molloy is staying throughout 2011, I really want to see him during that year, so that is good news! xD - Emily

For the record Lee Mead is a highly trained singer and actor. He has been working in musical theatre for many years and is not merely a reality show winner. He will be an experienced and valuable member of any show he joins. - Celia

Completely agree, Jayeroonie - and you don't even need to win to get a job over people who have worked and trained hard for their art and career. Fifth or sixth runner-up will do. - Dickiebo
