Ferrera & Stiles Make Pretty West End Pair???

Date: 15 October 2010

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera and film actress Julia Stiles are rumoured to be in line to star in the UK premiere of Neil LaBute's reasons to be pretty early next year. The play, which premiered Off-Broadway in 2008 prior to a Broadway transfer the following year, is the final part of a trilogy exploring the issue of body image (the others, The Shape Of Things and Fat Pig, were both staged in London). Reasons to be pretty was previously tipped to hit the West End this year, starring Lily Allen in her stage debut. According to the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, the production could now be heading for an Ambassador Theatre Group venue in March next year, produced by Howard Panter and Tali Pelman. While it would be Ferrera's West End debut, for Stiles, it would mark a return to the West End after a seven-year absence. She starred opposite Aaron Eckhart in the 2004 revival of David Mamet's Oleanna.

It won't be Julia Stiles' West End debut, she was in Oleanna at the Garrick in 2004. - CGM
