Alfie Boe in Line for West End Les Mis Role???
Date: 8 October 2010

Tenor Alfie Boe, one of the stars of last Sunday's special anniversary Les Miserables concerts, may give fans another birthday present by playing Jean Valjean in the West End run next year. The tenor told the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye after the concert that a West End appearance "might well happen", a claim backed up by producer Cameron Mackintosh. Boe, who only became a professional singer after being overheard singing while polishing a car, sang "Bring Him Home" during Sunday's sold-out concerts, alongside John Owen Jones, Colm Wilkinson and Simon Bowman.
