Glee’s Matthew Morrison Aims for Donmar Debut???Date: 13 July 2010 Jonathan Groff, who makes his West End debut opposite Simon Russell Beale in Deathtrap at the Noel Coward Theatre next month, may not be the only Glee hearththrob to be treading the boards in London. According to The Stage, Matthew Morrison, who plays Glee Club teacher Will Schuester in the hit American TV series, is in talks to appear in a production at the Donmar Warehouse. Already an accomplished stage performer prior to his TV success, Morrison’s previous Broadway musical credits include Hairspray, A Light in the Piazza, The Rocky Horror Show and Footloose. At the Donmar, he’s said that he’d like to appear in a new work, but that could be a musical or a play. Artistic director Michael Grandage and associate director Rob Ashford have given Morrison a tour of the theatre and invited him to come back with project proposals. “I have some ideas for stuff I have been thinking about,” said the actor, who is in the UK working on a new album.
