Will Swenson Boards Bus Back to Broadway???
Date: 18 May 2010

American Will Swenson, who has been imported in from Broadway as Tribe leader Berger in Hair at the West End’s Gielgud Theatre, may be heading back to the Great White Way care of another West End musical. He’s been cast as drag queen Mitzi/Tick in the North American production of the Whatsonstage.com Award-winning Priscilla Queen of the Desert, still playing in London a few doors down from the Gielgud at the Palace Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. He’ll star opposite Australian Tony Sheldon, once again reprising his Whatsonstage.com and Olivier nominated performance as transsexual Bernadette, in the screen-to-stager which has just announced 12 weeks at Toronto’s Prince of Wales Theatre from 12 October 2010 ahead of a planned Broadway premiere in spring 2011.

The theatre in Toronto is the PRINCESS of Wales Theatre, not as you've stated "The Prince of Wales Theatre. Diana would not have been amused. Neither will a few million Canadians. - Steve Wright
