Sugar Sees Red Over Webber's Rainbow???Date: 11 May 2010 Labour Lord Alan Sugar has got a bit fiery over the BBC's decision to keep The Apprentice off air during the election campaign whilst going ahead with the broadcast of Over the Rainbow, which is fronted by Tory supporter Andrew Lloyd Webber. "We saw him in The Sun newspaper last week saying he backs Mr Cameron," Sugar complained recently, after The Apprentice was postponed following a formal complaint by the Conservative party.
Speaking of elections, a thread on the Whatsonstage.com forum is currently pondering suitable theatre roles for politicians - Peter Madelson as Iago? Boris Johnson as Falstaff? Vince Cable as Polonius? - click here to have your say...

| Comment | Date | | I have to say I think Alan Sugar has a point. Lloyd Webber is not just a known Tory supporter, he's also a Conservative member in the House of Lords.
This may be overly sensitive of me, but the other week when Lloyd Webber said "people had better vote as we don't want a hung-Dorothy" I thought it was a bit dodgy. - Rosie | 11 May 10 |
