Ghost Stories Set to Haunt the West End???

Date: 14 April 2010

Looks like the Lyric Hammersmith's Ghost Stories, currently spooking audiences at the Lyric Hammersmith, is transferring to the West End. Writing on Twitter recently, Andy Nyman, who stars in the show and co-created it with League of Gentlemen's Jeremy Dyson, said "You're hearing it here first Ghost Stories is going to the West End. Thanks for all your amazing support."

If anyone is reading this and considering booking tickets for Ghost Stories then I would urge you to save your money. The rave review from Douglas Bell on this page is nonsense - he must be related to the cast. This is truly awful and the bar is a rip off even for London. I wish I had saved my money. Ghost Stories is not scary and almost laughably bad. I could go on but if you book tickets now after reading all the shocking reviews maybe you deserve to waste your money, no offence. - Richard

I saw this show last night and I thought it was rubbish, wasn't even scary, only jumped and screamed once at the end. Save your money and put it towards a much better show currently playing in the West End. - Helen

Worst peice of theatre I have seen in the West End. The only time I felt frightened was when a guy behind me coughed and woke me up. Very very poor!!! Save your money. - Peter

Ghost Stories is excellent. How can sooooooooo many people be wrong. The theatre was packed to maximum capacity performance after performance after performance. It is a bloody good night out. Spooky and amusing. Cinematic. Some great characterisations by the cast. Highly entertaining. I would say that it has almost universal appeal and I am expecting it to get an award or awards for something. - Douglas Bell

Don't waste your money! Unless you're a fan of Most Haunted and then you really do deserve to be ripped off. - Kate
