Hollyoaks & Cocktail Set for Musical Makeovers???

According to the website Digital Spy, actor Ricky Whittle has proposed the idea of a Hollyoaks musical to the producers of the Channel 4 soap.
Whittle, who plays Calvin Valentine in the soap and is currently a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, claimed: "I’ve been asking about Hollyoaks: The Musical but they’re a very busy cast … They can all sing, dance and act anyway."
It's thought that if the idea goes any further, it could be used to mark the soap's 15th anniversary at the end of next year.
Also in line for a musical makeover is Tom Cruise's 1988 movie Cocktail, which is apparently being turned into a Broadway musical to mark its 20th anniversary - and might star Cruise's wife Katie Holmes.
The film's creator Heywood Gould told the New York Post: "I am writing it as we speak. Marty Richards is on board and he's working on the score ... It's far too early to talk about casting. We haven't approached anybody yet, but yes, I like Katie Holmes."
