Kidman, Kidman, Kidman???Date: 4 September 2001Fans of Nicole Kidman's stage work could be three times lucky over the next year. There have long been rumours that the Australian actress-turned-Hollywood star would return to London after making her stage debut in 1998's The Blue Room, the Sam Mendes-directed production in which Kidman was famously described as "theatrical Viagra" by one critic. First it was going to be with Trevor Nunn at the National, then word was she'd be back at the Donmar with Mendes. Now it looks as though both could be true. While at the Venice Film Festival this week promoting her latest screen release Moulin Rouge, Kidman confirmed that she would indeed be appearing in Ibsen's Lady from the Sea, directed by Nunn at the National, as well as a double bill directed by Mendes at the Donmar. As for the latter, the specifics are still firmly under wraps. Kidman herself has been instructed - on pain of death, apparently - to keep her lips sealed until arrangements are finalised.
