Kidman Returning to West End & Donmar???

Nicole Kidman is being tipped for a return to the West End next year, to star in two plays that will be staged together 'in repertory'. Sam Mendes, who directed Kidman in the Donmar Warehouse's The Blue Room in 1998, is expected to be at the helm again. David Hare's free adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler's 1900 drama The Blue Room found Kidman back on stage again after a lengthy absence. Her sexually-charged role courted widespread interest, although she also received plaudits for her acting, and the production successfully transferred to Broadway. Interestingly, Kidman has also been strongly linked with a National Theatre production of Ibsen's The Lady From the Sea, with Trevor Nunn making confident predictions for it earlier this year. Kidman was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but trained at various theatre schools in Australia. Her film credits include Dead Calm, Billy Bathgate and To Die For. Earlier this year, Kidman announced the break-up of her marriage to the film star Tom Cruise.
