Hobson & Berry Hunted by Mohicans???Date: 3 July 2001Helen Hobson and Nick Berry are among the rumoured contenders for roles in the Last of the Mohicans musical. The Rocky Horror Show's creator, Richard O'Brien, is also expected to become involved too, and may take the part of the Mohican enemy. The epic 18th-century American story, by James Fenimore Cooper, has been adapted for stage by Paul Miller (librettist) and Julian Ronnie (composer). Hobson's West End debut came with the musical Chess (Prince Edward Theatre), followed by star turns in Blood Brothers (Albery) and Aspects of Love (Prince of Wales). Berry, a possible for the role of Hawkeye, rose to prominence via EastEnders, before turning telly copper in Heartbeat. The Mohicans budget is believed to be around £3 million, and the show is predicted to open some time next year. Related Content |
