Britney Is the One Broadway Wants???Date: 30 May 2008 Always in the news, Britney Spears is back in the headlines for theatrical reasons as US producers are apparently considering casting her as Sandy in the current Broadway revival of Grease. The musical move would seem to make more sense than the rumour that surfaced a couple of months ago – that the troubled pop star had been offered the role of Blanche DuBois in a West End revival of Tennessee Williams’ classic 1947 drama A Streetcar Named Desire (See The Goss, 27 Mar 2008).
