Kelly Osbourne Suffers Stage Fright???Date: 28 August 2007 Kelly Osbourne makes her professional stage debut in a fortnight in the West End production of Chicago, and the enormity of the challenge facing her hasn’t escaped the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy. She recently told the Sun newspaper: "I'm absolutely bricking it because the only theatre I have ever done before this was my school play - and I was a windmill." Despite her stage fright, however, Osbourne has already agreed to extend her limited season, which commences on 10 September, by a week to 3 November to meet box office demand (See News, 23 Aug 2007). Osbourne plays prison matron Mama Morton, the murderesses’ dodgy-dealing mother hen, traditionally taken by a much older actress. At just 22, she’s believed to be the youngest person to be cast in the supporting role, currently performed by Susie McKenna in the West End. Following her stint in London, Osbourne is tipped to make her US stage debut in the Broadway production of Chicago.
