Open Air’s 75th Birthday Dream for 25p!???
Date: 8 May 2007
The Open Air Theatre in Regent’s Park is offering punters a chance to see this year’s production of its signature piece,
A Midsummer Night's Dream, for just 25p. The low cost for the one-off gala performance on Thursday 12 July 2007 – which includes other surprise birthday entertainments and a complimentary drink - has been set to mirror and commemorate the price of tickets when the outdoor theatre opened 75 years ago in 1932: 25p is the equivalent of five shillings. This Thursday (10 May 2007), 500 special-priced tickets will go on sale from 10.00am.
Richard E Grant,
Ralph Fiennes and Dame
Judi Dench have all performed at Regent’s Park over the years. The gala
Dream will be attended by HRH the Duke of Kent and a host of other celebrities. Will you be quick enough to nab the 25p tickets and join them?
