Spiderman Swings Onto the Broadway Stage??? Date: 27 April 2007
Spider-senses across Theatreland will be tingling with the news that a Spiderman musical is in the pipeline. Tony Award-winning The Lion King director Julie Taymor will pull the strings and producers have also netted U2’s Bono and the Edge to write music and lyrics. Producers Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle, Martin McCallum, Marvel Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment have suggested a reading will take place during the American summer and auditions are already in full swing.
