Old Times Transfer & Portrait of a Lady for Hall???
Date: 12 April 2007

No date or venue has yet been announced, but Peter Hall’s revival of Harold Pinter’s 1971 three-hander Old Times - starring Janie Dee, Neal Pearson and Susannah Harker - is expected to transfer to the West End after it finishes its regional tour on 27 April (See News, 15 Mar 2007). Dee starred in another of Hall’s Pinter revivals, Betrayal, which transferred to the West End in 2003 following a regional tour and initial run at the Theatre Royal Bath. And speaking of Peter Hall, the septuagenarian director seems busier than ever. In addition to his fifth summer repertory season at Bath, which runs from 27 June to 25 August (See News, 12 Mar 2007), Hall’s other projects for 2007 include new productions of Twelfth Night and The Portrait of a Lady, Henry James’ classic 1881 novel in a new version by Nicki Frei. No further word yet on where and when those plays will be presented. Oh yes, and Hall is also reviving Rossini opera La Cenerentola at Glyndebourne.
