Zane & Bloom Give Insights & Lessons at Farewell Q&A???

Billy Zane and Claire Bloom - the stars of Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks - are holding a post-show discussion on Friday 26 January 2007, the penultimate evening performance for the UK premiere production, which closes at the Theatre Royal Haymarket the following day (See News, 5 Jan 2007). Richard Alfieri’s comedy - which opened on 29 November 2006 (previews from 23 November) - follows the unlikely acquaintance between a sprightly retiree and her young dance teacher. After moving from his beloved New York City to Florida’s Gulf Coast, the acerbic Michael (Zane) is hired for six weeks by Lily (Bloom), a lonely but formidable minister’s wife with a flair for dancing. What begins as an antagonistic relationship becomes a remarkable friendship as two people with very different backgrounds reveal their secrets, hopes and fears while they do the foxtrot, the cha-cha, the tango and the waltz. The post-show Q&A will be hosted by Fox News and Sky News reporter Neil Sean, and all profits for the evening will be donated to the Theatre Royal Haymarket’s Masterclass Trust, which runs free classes for young people aged 17-30 with leading stage actors, directors and writers.
