Maxwell & Mother Teresa Strike Bargain???Date: 3 January 2007 A 1988 meeting between newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell and missionary nun Mother Teresa provides the premise for a new stage play by screenwriter Ian Curteis. Set in a luxurious Thames-side apartment three years before Maxwell’s body was found floating in the Atlantic, The Bargain is billed as a “wickedly sharp, sophisticated new black comedy”. It is due to launch a regional tour in the spring - starring Michael Pennington (Maxwell), Anna Calder-Marshall (Teresa) and Susan Hampshire – prior to an anticipated West End transfer.
