Reality Bites for Connie on BBC1 Christmas Show??? Date: 21 December 2006
With all the upcoming reality TV shows to cast West End musicals that have been announced this week (See Today's News), the BBC is offering audiences the chance to catch up with the leading lady who started it all, Connie Fisher, with How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?: Connie’s Story, which will be broadcast on BBC1 on Wednesday 27 December at 6.30pm. Graham Norton traces her journey from backstage at the London Palladium after she landed the part of Maria, and follows her journey as a leading lady through rehearsals and all the way to the glittering opening night of The Sound of Music. The programme includes contributions from Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian, Arlene Phillips, Lesley Garrett, Sheila Hancock and Michelle Collins.
