Non-Brits Better on Broadway???Date: 19 October 2006Also in the opening night audience for the West End production of Spamalot was American Hank Azaria, who starred in the original Broadway cast of the hit Monty Python musical (See 1st Night Photos, 18 Oct 2006). Azaria’s part of Sir Lancelot (and the French Taunter, the Knight of Ni and Tim the Enchanter) is played at the Palace Theatre by British actor Tom Goodman-Hill. We’re sure that New York-born Azaria meant no disrespect to Goodman-Hill or the rest of the largely British cast when, in the theatre bar at the interval, he loudly proclaimed: “We were much better.” Related Content |
