Law�s Hamlet to Be or Not to Be???

Now that the Young Vic is about to reopen after its two-year, �12.45 million renovation, Jude Law and artistic director David Lan have reportedly resumed more serious talks about the actor taking the title role in a new production of Hamlet at the South Bank venue (See The Goss, 16 Sep 2004). Law�s last stage appearance was in Doctor Faustus in 2002 and, prior to that in 'Tis Pity She's a Whore in 1999, both directed by Lan at the Young Vic. Law has long been a champion of the theatre, not least providing the face of its high-profile fundraising campaign for the building work. Lan has recently said he�d like to direct Law in his next stage role.
