Improbable Probably Set for Transfer???Date: 5 September 2006The Sunday Times also tips a West End transfer for another Edinburgh Festival hit, Irish musical spy spoof Improbable Frequency. In Dublin during the Second World War, crossword wiz turned code-breaker Tristram Faraday is sent to uncover a Nazi plot involving a probability machine and, possibly, the poet John Betjeman. The musical, with its witty lyrics and verse dialogue, is written by Arthur Riordan and Bell Helicopter. The Rough Magic production is directed by Lynne Parker. According to the Sunday Times, Improbable Frequency is likely to open at the West End’s Criterion Theatre, following the limited season of comedy whodunit The 39 Steps, which transfers from the Tricycle later this month (See News, 23 Aug 2006).
