Date: 26 June 2006
And while we’re catching up with former
Cabaret stars, it’s worth mentioning that
Natasha Richardson (who won a best actress in a musical Tony Award for her Sally Bowles in Sam Mendes’ New York staging) may team up with
Emily Watson (who, coincidentally, appeared in London and New York in Mendes’ Donmar farewell double bill of
Twelfth Night and
Uncle Vanya) for a stage-to-screen crossover of

Eileen Atkins – who appeared in it with
Vanessa Redgrave – from correspondence between novelist between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West from 1922 to 1941.
