‘Friends Reunited’ Romance at Oliviers???Date: 27 February 2006Despite the odd hairstyle, Guys and DollsJane Krakowski seemed happy to receive her Olivier for Best Actress in a Musical from fellow American Christian Slater (See News, 26 Feb 2006). “We went to high school together in New York,” she explained before adding – “nothing happened! I wanted it to, but he wasn’t interested. Maybe now I’ll have a chance.” The Friends United-style meeting between Slater and Krakowski wasn’t the night’s only unexpected reunion. While chatting backstage, Slater’s Cuckoo’s Nest co-star Alex Kingston discovered that she and fellow presenter Michelle Collins, soon to appear in Daddy Cool, used to work together in the same pub before they hit it big as actors.
