Could You be the Next Tom Stoppard???Date: 9 December 2005As part of its 50th anniversary, the Royal Court is looking for the next generation of passionate and outspoken young playwrights to submit their scripts and see their work performed on stage. The Young Writers Festival will take place in autumn 2006 and is open to all young writers under the age of 26. The Young Writers' Festival, started in the 1970s, takes place in the Royal Court’s Jerwood Theatre Upstairs. Previous competition winners include Leo Butler, Christopher Shinn, Simon Stephens, Nick Grosso, Michael Wynne and Andrea Dunbar. Deadline for delivery of scripts is 31 January 2006. Four unbound, double-spaced, black-and-white copies of each script should be sent to: The Young Writers Festival 2006, The Site, Royal Court Theatre, Sloane Square, London SW1W 8AS.
