Sinatra Croons Again at London Palladium???
Date: 11 October 2005

The Rat Pack may soon have some serious competition in the West End. At least when it comes to Ole Blue Eyes, that is. A new show paying tribute to the late crooner Frank Sinatra is aiming for a limited season at the London Palladium in the new year. Previously a hit in the US – where it was seen under the title Sinatra: His Voice, His World, His Way at New York’s Radio City Music Hall - the show combines recordings of Sinatra songs and giant screen projections from his many film and television appearances with a live orchestra and big dance numbers, which are being newly choreographed by Stephen Mear for the London production. Dark since the closure of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang last month, the Palladium will soon be hosting a Christmas season of the musical Scrooge, starring Tommy Steele from 8 November 2005 to 14 January 2006 (previews from 20 October).
