Grant Otherwise Engaged in October???Date: 24 June 2005Richard E Grant is due to star in a West End revival of Otherwise Engaged this autumn. Simon Gray’s play was first seen in the West End at the Queen’s Theatre in a 1975 production directed by Harold Pinter and starring Alan Bates, Nigel Hawthorne and Ian Charleson. In it, book publisher Simon Hench just wants to lose himself by listening to music but the demands of friends and others prove too distracting. According to today’s Daily Mail, Simon Curtis’ revival is likely to open at the Criterion Theatre in October 2005. Born in Swaziland and now based in Britain, Grant is best known for his many film credits, which include Gosford Park, The Age of Innocence, Jack and Sarah, Spice World and, of course, Withnail and I. He makes his film directorial debut in August with Wah Wah, a semi-autobiographical film about his African childhood. Related Content |
