Agatha Christie with a Tarantino Twist???Date: 16 May 2005The upcoming revival of classic 1940s whodunit And Then There Were None - which, when it opens in October (See News, 13 May 2005), will be the first new Agatha Christie production in the West End in 13 years – may owe as much to Quentin Tarantino as to Christie herself. My Night with Reg’s Kevin Elyot is updating the piece for the 21st century and is apparently keen to satisfy the expectations of younger audiences accustomed to graphic horror on screen. In the piece, ten strangers, with apparently nothing in common, are lured to an exclusive island mansion, where they’re killed off one by one. A show insider has said that the stage in Steven Pimlott’s production will be “awash with blood”. In addition to exact dates and a venue, no casting has yet been confirmed, although producers at Act Productions are reportedly speaking to British actors including Tara Fitzgerald and Gemma Jones.
