Setlock’s Absence Heralds Committed Closure???
Date: 16 February 2005
Bad news for anyone who hasn’t yet caught the Whatsonstage.com Award-winning
Fully Committed - you may have missed your chance. At the West End’s Arts Theatre, where the Best Overall Fringe Production winner transferred in October, there have been no performances for the past week and a half, and the box office is no longer taking bookings since
Mark Setlock, the solo show’s star who has no understudy, has been taken seriously ill. Although no official closure announcement has been made, there’s a strong possibility that neither Setlock nor
Fully Committed will return to complete the run, which had been booking to 9 April 2005. In the meantime, another one-man show,
Tynan starring
Corin Redgrave as the late critic Kenneth Tynan, will move in to the theatre’s earlier evening slot from next week (See
News, 11 Jan 2005).
