Seize Your Chance for Fiennes’ Caesar???
Date: 11 January 2005
The Young Vic and the Barbican are looking for 60 members of the public to perform in
Julius Caesar, running for five weeks at the Barbican in April and May 2005 (See
News, 3 Dec 2004). They’ll form the chorus of the 100-strong cast led by
Ralph Fiennes in Shakespeare’s classic tale of political betrayal.
Deborah Warner will direct the amateur cast alongside the professional actors in the show. A taster workshop will be held for interested parties tonight (Tuesday 11 January 2005) at 6.30pm at The Oval, with auditions taking place this Saturday and Sunday (15 and 16 January). Applicants do not need to have any theatrical experience, but must be able to commit to all rehearsals, starting at the end of February, and performances. Participants will not be paid, but expenses may be arranged. For more information, call 0207 820 3350 or
e-mail the Young Vic.
